SP Level1 Summary corresponding to this Level2/Inversion
The SOT-SP calibration research and software implementation is largely due to the work of Bruce Lites, Alfred de Wijn, Rebecca Centeno, Scott McIntosh, and Rob Markel.
The Level 2 science data summarized graphically on this page are available
as binary extended FITS files. Missing scan columns are reflected in these
images as vertical bars. Routines to download and read and these into
SolarSoft compatible "index,data" arrays are distributed within the SOT branch
of SSW, examples of which may be found in the SOT Data Analysis
Guide. SSW clients that do not have access to data locally may incorporate
the map data summarized on this page into your current SSWIDL session
via verbatim cut&paste of the the commands (in orange below) into your IDL prompt (an up-to-date SOT
library is assumed):
sotsp_stks2index,'20170829_143350',index,data,/LEVEL2 ; transfer binary Extended FITS + read->index,data
-or-
sotsp_getdata,'20170829_143350',LEVEL=2 ; binary Extended FITS -> local (no read)
-or-
sotsp_getdata,'20170829_143350',/CDF, LEVEL=2 ; Merlin CDF Output -> local (no read)
Hinode is a Japanese mission developed and launched by ISAS/JAXA, with NAOJ as domestic partner and NASA and STFC (UK) as international partners. It is operated by these agencies in co-operation with ESA and NSC (Norway).
